COOL BUGS at a REASONABLE PRICE? THIS SATISFIES ME.

This one's for you, Big Tony. 1. Wormweave  is a form of fabric from a woven-together colony of biomantically-altered worms that must be regularly fed and carefully tended to, lest it begin to grow threadbare as the worms sicken and die; Wormweave is coarse to the touch and prone to tearing even when healthy, but its ability to move independently or at a wearer's command makes popular among people who want animated fabric items on a budget. Wormweave fabrics have also been known to eat dead owners, and abandoned colonies have known to grow aggressive if left in the wild for too long, but that isn't something spoken of in polite company. Shut the hell up and enjoy your wind-free billowing cloak. 2. False Eyes have a horrifying niche: much like those isopods that sever the tongues of fish to take their place, these parasitic beetles devour and replace eyes. They prey on sleeping animals (including people), injecting a sedative venom into the host before burrowing into the ey...

PIT OF SLUDGE VOLUME THE FIRST

This is not a slush pile this is my LEGALLY DISTINCT SLUDGE PIT and YOU CANT TAKE IT FROM ME IT'S ALL MINE Some great bloggers can create amazing ideas that fill pages upon pages. I am not one of them, but I do have many small things that may intrigue and perhaps entertain. Most of these are from other posts I can't get around to finishing; I deposit them here so they no longer rot in a post that will never be made, and to be free of them weighing on my mind. It's better to have them be seen and enjoyed here so I can have a clean slate. First, a trio of magical weapons: EVENING STAR RISING is a plain, slightly chipped iron longsword, its hilt and crossguard made to look like the twisted-together roots of a tree. EVENING STAR RISING gets more powerful the closer its wielder is to a death of old age; in the hands of a young warrior, EVENING STAR RISING is just a normal sword that occasionally talks, but in the hands of a bedridden centenarian who can barely even walk with...

FIVE peculiar curiosities that will BLOW YOUR MIND and GIVE YOU POLYPS! (NOT CLICKBAIT!!!)

System-agnostic, as all good weird-object-lists are. There was supposed to be ten, but alas, this list is hampered by the author's supreme lack of creativity. Enjoy. 1. A delicate triangular shawl, completely covered in miniscule embroidered images of birds of every species imaginable, including those that are now extinct. Those who wear it may speak the language of birds, issuing commands and learning what the feathered ones know. Will probably give you the ability to fly if you sing the song of the one bird it does not depict.  Actually pretty comfortable, bird-stuff aside. 2. An absolutely ancient, decrepit papier-mâché mask, its eyes and mouth worn into ragged tears, twisting what was once a simplistic smile into a menacing grimace. It feels flimsy, like it may flake apart into dust in your hand, but is oddly resistant to damage; its material refuses to rip or cut, and fires sputter and die away upon touching the mask as if it was soaked in water. Wearing it, your fight-...

I rise from the hoary abyss, teeth gnashing at the air. Also, Hoop Snakes.

Howdy, all. I am the wicked scoundrel known as AQUALUNG, and this is my totally awesome RPG blog that I may occasionally write stuff on. What kind of stuff? MONSTERS. For DELTA GREEN, and occasionally OSRs and stuff. Expect more posts in the future, probably from my backlog of already-created monsters until I can cook up some new stuff. Here's a little appetizer of things to come: HOOP SNAKE - Serpent-Mankind's Most Irritating Mistake. STR 5 CON 5 DEX 10 POW 5 HP 5 WP 5 SKILLS: Alertness 60%, Climb 50%, Dodge 50%, Stealth 90%, Swim 50%. ATTACKS: Bite or Sting (70%, 1 damage and see VENOM) KEEP ROLLIN ROLLIN ROLLIN: On a downhill slope, a Hoop Snake is capable of grasping its own tail with its mouth and rolling roughly as fast as a human being can run, though they can easily overtake a human when going down a particularly steep slope. VENOM: A bite or sting attack that rolls an odd number injects poison with a Speed of 1D4 hours and Lethality 15%. The symptoms are agoniz...
