WOLVES UPON THE COAST: REVIEW AND RETROSPECTIVE

I played Wolves Upon the Coast recently. Here's my review: I enjoyed it. Review over, here's some monsters.

AC AS CHAIN
DAMAGE 1D6+2

At will, may take on a form of dust or smoke. In this form, it cannot attack or be attacked.

Knows three random Spells, which it may cast 1/day. Captured and bargained with, it may teach these Spells, or use them to enact a single service.

A spiraling motion; disturbances in the water, the dust, the clouds.

Footprints in the wilderness, coming from nowhere and leaving just the same.

For them, thought and action are indistinguishable. To think something is to do it. To promise something is to have already done it. Many a wise man has bound them to his service, setting them to impossible works.

Never forget that they were here first.

AC AS ARMOR
DAMAGE AS WEAPON

Treat damage from Heavy weapons as if they were Light.

A man's work may outlive him. Indeed, it may outgrow him. The work expands as the worker shrivels and wizens, and the mind is eaten away: good WORK, evil NOT WORK. He does not eat, he does not drink, he does not rest. Outside of the labor he no longer exists.

More spring up, like maggots in meat; they are inheritors only to the work, never the product. Its end would be theirs as well.

This is but one of the paths a man may walk to leave mortality behind.

AC AS UNARMORED
DAMAGE 1D6

Those struck are flung a number of feet equal to twice the damage done.

Unharmed by physical weapons.

Take a breath on a mountain peak.

Bring that breath to the bottom without letting it out.

By this consumption, you may call a wind.

HD 1 PER HEAD
AC AS CHAIN
DAMAGE 1D6

Each head has 6 HP, and attacks once. A slain head, if not burnt, will regrow as two at the start of the next Round.

A lineage forks out before you.
Scaled flesh, cold blood, slit pupils,
issuing a challenge:
Improve or die.

DAMAGE AS WEAPON

Avoid sunlight at all costs. Preferentially attack those bearing light.

Eyes hidden under deep brows, glittering wet black by the fire they covet but will never have.

Not unlike you.

This post is dedicated to the Wolves of God for their victory over evil and to PurpleCthulhu for running the game. Praise be to Jesus Thorson.
